Grace Lutheran celebrating

101st anniversary on?Aug. 5

EAST PALESTINE - Grace Lutheran Church, located at Grant and Walnut streets in East Palestine will be celebrating its 101st anniversary Sunday, Aug. 5.

Worship and Holy Communion will be at 10:45 a.m.

Following worship, a reception featuring cake will be held. The public is invited to attend.

Rummage sale fundraiser

will benefit speech team

COLUMBIANA - A rummage sale fundraiser continues from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at the First Presbyterian Church, 28 E. Park Ave. Proceeds will be given to the Columbiana High School speech team.

NORTH LIMA - Good Hope Lutheran Church at 12030 Market St. is hosting its annual community day camp from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 6-10.

Camp is free and open to youth who have completed kindergarten through seventh grade.

EP Nazarene Church hosting

four days of spiritual renewal

EAST PALESTINE - East Palestine Nazarene Church will present four days of spiritual renewal with guest speaker, Pastor Brian Brown of the Lisbon Nazarene Church. Pastor Brown's message is "A Closer Walk with God."

Music will be provided by Jim and Mary Cochran, Brian and Patty Brown and Doug and Pam Price. The revival dates and times are: 10:45 a.m. and 6 p.m. Aug. 12; and 6 p.m. Aug. 13, 14 and 15. Babysitters are provided.

'Master's Encouragers' will

perform in concert Sunday

EAST ROCHESTER - Blaine and Boyd Cornwell, also known as the "Master's Encouragers," will be in concert at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at the New Alexander Christian Church, 7665 Rochester Road.

The "Master's Encouragers" are unique in many respects. They are twin brothers born in Athens, and work as one in an evangelistic ministry as they combine team preaching and singing with team song leading in a very effective way.

Their goal is to combine their talents with those in the local congregation for the purpose of encouraging the saints and saving the lost. Since 1978 they have traveled all over the United States proclaiming Christ in revivals, in schools, and in many congregations.

The public is invited and a free-will offering will be taken.

Calvary United Methodist

holding community yard sale

NORTH LIMA - The Calvary United Methodist Church in North Lima will hold a community yard sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 15. The rain date is Sept. 22.

Vendors are needed. To reserve a space call 330-482-4824 and leave your name and phone number; your call will be returned.

A single space 12x12 is $15 and a 12x24 is $20. Vendors must supply their own tables. Proceeds will be used for taking youth on a mission trip.

Family Funfest set Aug. 1-3 at the Solid Rock Comm. Church

SALEM - The Family Funfest at the Solid Rock Community Church, 178O Franklin Ave., will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 1-3. There will be Bible stories, music, crafts, games, give-aways, refreshments and a bounce house for children.

The "Backyard Bible Club" at 1251 Stewart Road will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Aug. 2.

Another "Backyard Bible Club" runs from 10:30 -11:30 a.m. Aug. 3 at 1603 Chestnut Grove Road. These events are sponsored by the church.

Mike Hagen Strength Team

will appear at East Liverpool Y

EAST LIVERPOOL -The East Liverpool Area YMCA, in partnership with the Tri State Ministerial Association, will present the Mike Hagen Strength Team to the East Liverpool YMCA downtown location at 6:15 p.m. Aug. 9.

The Strength Team is comprised of professional athletes who travel all over the world performing amazing feats of strength while sharing the powerful message of Jesus to this generation.

These athletes come from all different backgrounds including professional football, college football, body builders, baseball, strong man competitors, power lifters and many other athletic fields.

They have been seen on CNN, ESPN, NBC and CBS as well as by students in over 1,000 school assemblies.

Food and beverages will be provided by the Tri State Ministerial Association from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., free of charge. Donations will be accepted. Guests will have the opportunity to take their own pictures and obtain autographs after the show.

Destiny?House presenting

annual Community Day

EAST LIVERPOOL - Destiny House Church will hold its fourth annual Community Day from 1 to 3 p.m. Aug. 11 at 49345 Calcutta-Smith Ferry Road.

Backpacks filled with school supplies will be provided to the first 500 area children, in kindergarten through fourth grade. Children must be present to receive a backpack.

Signature Styles Salon will provide back-to-school haircuts.

There also will be free eye exams. scoliosis screenings, a fresh produce distribution, inflatable jumps for the children, music, hot dogs and beverages.
