TARPON SPRINGS, Fla. - Maria (Mary) Harvith, 97, of Tarpon Springs, Fla., passed away May 31, 2012, at Suncoast Hospice House Brookside in Palm Harbor, Fla., after a brief illness.
The daughter of Aron and Maria Acsinte Siulea, Mrs. Harvith was born Aug. 24, 1914, in Salem, Ohio, where she lived most of her life. She was employed by the former Mullins Manufacturing Co. and later the Central Clinic Hospital and retired from the Salem City Hospital in 1979. While in Salem, Mrs. Harvith was a member of the St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Alliance, Ohio, the Leul Society, the Salem Senior Citizens, and the Salem Retirees.
Mrs. Harvith is survived by her daughter, Jo Ann Harvith, with whom she made her home.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Mr. George Siulea, and her sister, Mrs. Victoria Atkinson.
Arrangements were made by Dobies Funeral Home of Tarpon Springs.
