BL soccer boosters to hold meeting July 10

CALCUTTA - Beaver Local High School Soccer Booster's monthly meeting is 7 p.m. July 10 at the new red and white room at the high school. Those with questions are asked to contact Bob Swickard.

Salineville adult softball tournament July 14

SALINEVILLE - The Salineville Baseball Association is hosting an adult softball tournament on July 14 at the Salineville baseball complex. Fee is $125, and there must be at least two females per team. For more information, call Christy Rodgers at 330-831-7223.

BL junior high football camp to be July 10

Wellsville Touchdown club to meet Monday

WELLSVILLE - The Wellsville Touchdown Club will meet at 6 p.m. Monday at Rodger Miller's home off state Route 45. All parents of players in grades 7-12 are asked to attend. Game programs for the 2012 season are being planned. Those interested in placing an ad may receive more information by emaling or by finding the club on Facebook.

Speed camp to be held at Beaver Local

CALCUTTA - The Red & White Athletic Association is sponsoring a free Beaver Local speed camp every Tuesday and Thursday during the month of July from 8-10 a.m. at the high school track. The camp is free of charge and open to all Beaver Local athletes entering grades 9-12. The camp will focus on speed development, some strength and agility training designed for quickness along with exercises to help prevent acl/mcl injuries.

OG Jr. Bears Baseball Bash to be July 12-15

CHESTER - Oak Glen Jr. Bears Baseball is hosting the 3rd annual Baseball Bash July 12-15. 8U coach pitch, Mustang (10U), Bronco (12U), Pony (14U). Cost is $125 for coach pitch, $200 plus three game balls for Mustang, Bronco, Pony. Format is pool play, followed by single elimination tournament. Three games guaranteed. Barnhart Memorial Golf Outing to be July 28

NEW CUMBERLAND - The Jerry Barnhart Memorial Golf Outing will be held July 28 at the Woodview Golf Course. The golf outing benefits the Oak Glen football team. Registration starts at 7 a.m. and the shotgun start will be at 8 a.m. The cost for a team of four is $280 or $70 per team member. This includes the golf carts, breakfast, lunch, dinner and beverages throughout the day. There will be hole prizes, door prizes and raffles. Oak Glen volleyball camp to begin July 30

NEW MANCHESTER - Oak Glen High School will be hosting a volleyball camp for all girls entering grades 6-12. The camp will be facilitated by Fairmont University head coach Larry Hill, along with members of his coaching staff. Cost to attend is $100. Girls entering grades 9-12 will meet from 8-11 a.m. Girls entering grades 6-8 will meet from 12-3 p.m. The dates for the camp are July 30, 31 and Aug. 1.
