SALEM - Charles E. Trotter, 92, of Lexington Avenue, Salem, died at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at the Aultman Hospital in Canton.
He was born April 25, 1920, in Salem, Ohio, to the late Wallace and Zora (Lingo) Trotter.
Charles worked for the Electric Furnace Co. as a machinist for 43 years, retiring in 1983. He was a life member of the Salem Elks Lodge # 305, a 1938 graduate of Salem High School and a member of the Salem First United Methodist Church.
His wife, Helen L. (Lora) Trotter, whom he married Nov. 26, 1942, preceded him in death on April 23, 2005.
Survivors include a daughter, Jeanne Beasley of Houston, Texas; and two grandchildren, Brooke Nicole Beasley and Layne Joseph Beasley.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 7, 2012, at the Grandview Cemetery Chapel with the Rev. Bruce Irwin officiating.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the Grandview Cemetery Chapel. Interment will be at the Grandview Cemetery in Salem.
