Free health field course offered

LISBON -?The Columbiana County Career Center ABLE program is offering a free, seven-week course for individuals interested in a career in the health care field. The class is designed to allow students to explore core subjects required in many college and career tech programs such as anatomy, biology, medical terminology, and contextualized mathematics. The classes will be held three days per week at CCCTC and will begin on July 9. For information, call 330-424-9561, ext. 190.

Salem 1951 breakfast

SALEM - The Salem High School Class of 1951 will meet for breakfast at 9 a.m. July 11 at Skyline Diner, instead of the usual day, which would have fallen on the July 4th holiday.

Salem Council tax budget hearing set

SALEM - A tax budget hearing will be held at 6:45 p.m. July 5 in council chambers in Salem City Hall. The proposed tax budget is for fiscal year 2013 and may be examined at the city auditor's office, second floor in city hall, between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays.
