Mr. and Mrs. Elden Helmick of 7350 Middletown Road, Canfield, were honored on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary at a dinner reception on May 5 at the Smokehouse Restaurant in Greenford. Musical entertainment was provided by Loren Coler.
The former Virginia Mae Hiner and Mr. Helmick were married on May 5, 1962, at the Greenford Lutheran Church. Pastor Richard Mackey officiated.
Mr. Helmick retired from the Crane Deming Pump Company in April 2003. He now works part time in his garage for BOC Company.

Mrs. Helmick has been working at the Haus Fruit Farm and Cider Mill.
The Helmicks are members of the church where they get communion ready for the people and he is an usher.
The couple has three sons, Mark Helmick of Greenford, Brent Helmick of San Diego, Calif., and Chad Helmick of Boardman; and a daughter, Tracy Higgins of Greenford. They also have four grandchildren.
