SALEM - Leroy D. "Lee" Adams, 69, of Salem, Ohio, died at 5:38 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center - Montefiore.
He was born Nov. 29, 1942 in Salem, the son of Theodore and Molly (Burk) Adams.
He was a 1960 graduate of Salem High School and attended the Greenford Christian Church. He was a member of the U.S. Air Force for 26 years where he served two tours of duty in Thailand and Italy.
Lee enjoyed gardening and woodworking.
His wife, Carol (Merriman) Adams, whom he married Aug. 12, 1970, survives him along with a son, Michael (Jody) Adams of Salem; a daughter, Julie Adams of Kensington; a sister, Doris (Glen) May of Austintown; a brother, Danny (Erma) Adams of Austintown; and three grandchildren, Makena, Nichole and Rachel.
Preceding him in death were five brothers, Arnold, Albert, Norman, Kenneth and Donald and a sister, Dorothy Hill.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2012 at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Sean Kelly officiating. Calling hours will be held noon to 2 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home prior to the services.
Burial will be at Grove Hill Cemetery with full military honors provided by the Salem Honor Guard.
