Mr. and Mrs. William Reed to mark golden anniversary

William and Martha Reed of 860 Homewood Ave., Salem, will be honored on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary at an open house reception. Family and friends are invited from 1 to 4 p.m. April 28 in the fellowship hall at the First Christian Church. The festivities will be hosted by their children and spouses, Donna and Steve Tucker of Elyria, Ann and Joe Little of Salem and David and Jodi Reed of Elida. The couple also has nine grandchildren.

The former Martha Sell and Mr. Reed were married on April 28, 1962, by the Rev. William Longsworth at the First United Methodist Church in Salem.

Mr. Reed was employed at Clark Pulley for 24 years. The Reeds were both employed at Essex of Salem for 17 years and are now employed by the Salem Care Center. They are members of the First Christian Church. She is the daughter of the late Calvin and Margaret Sell. Mr. Reed is the son of the late Thomas and Mary Reed.
