YOUNGSTOWN- The following Youngstown State University students made presentations at the 22nd annual QUEST research celebration on April 3:

- Scott Brand of Alliance, who is majoring in chemical engineering, made a presentation titled "Mathematical Modeling of Fracking Chemical Dispersion in Groundwater."

- Hanna Koscinski of Alliance, who is majoring in food and nutrition didactic, made a presentation titled " Lifestyle Characteristics of Yoga Practitioners."

- Bronson Lamoncha of Columbiana, who is majoring in mechanical engineering, made a presentation titled "Design of Planetary Gear Box" and "Drag Characteristics on Automobiles."

- James Munyon of Columbiana, who is majoring in math statistics track, made a presentation titled "Discrete Markov Chains."

- James Neiheisel of Columbiana, who is majoring in mechanical engineering, made a presentation titled "Design and Analysis of a Lathe Spindle."

- Brian Peppel of Columbiana, who is majoring in exercise science PT track, made a presentation titled "Physiological and perceptual responses to Nintendo Wii Fit in Young and Older Adults."

- Joe Rupert of Columbiana, who is majoring in biology, made a presentation titled " Analysis of myosin heavy chain isoforms in prehensile tails of Didelphid marsupials: muscle specializations for arboreal versus terrestrial locomotion."

- Kevin Siembieda of Columbiana, who is majoring in mechanical engineering, made a presentation titled "Design of Planatery Gear Box."

- Jennifer Williamson of Columbiana, who is majoring in chemistry, made a presentation titled "Monosaccharide Structural Analysis by 2-D Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy."

- James Schuster of Damascus, who is majoring in mechanical engineering, made a presentation titled "Drag Characteristics on Automobiles."

- Haley Pastircak of Kensington, who is majoring in geography, made a presentation titled "Horse Laminits."

- Cory Muraco of East Palestine, who is majoring in chemistry, made a presentation titled "Isolation and Characterization of Lysozyme Oxidized by a Copper (II)/Hydrogen Peroxide Metal Catalyzed Oxidation System."

- Michael Falcone of East Palestine, who is majoring in computer science, made a presentation titled "An Eye-tracking Study on the Role of Scan Time in Finding Source Code Defects" and " In Which Order Should I Fix These Bugs?"

- Nathan Miller of East Palestine, who is majoring in computing and information systems, made a presentation titled "Detecting Malicious Transmission using the NetFPGA Open Research Platform."

- Ron Welther of East Palestine, who is majoring in electrical engineering, made a presentation titled "Energy Conversion Learning Journey Gamma."

- Ashley Wagner of East Palestine, who is majoring in information technology B, made a presentation titled "A Study of the Mathematics and an Optimization of Ray Tracing."

- Nathan Jones of Hanoverton, who is majoring in electrical engineering comp digital opt, made a presentation titled "Energy Conversion Learning Journey (Beta)" and "Solar Panel Array Construction and Investigation."

- Heidi Hall of Lisbon, who is majoring in environmental studies, made a presentation titled "Storm Event Impacts on the Sedimentation Deposition in Coastal Lakes of San Salvador, Bahamas."

- Ashlee Dawson of Lisbon, who is majoring in integrated math education, made a presentation titled "An Original Proof of the Pythagorean Theorem."

- Adam Restifo of Lisbon, who is majoring in mechanical engineering, made a presentation titled "Manual Lathe Guide System and Ball Screw Assembly" and "The Ring Solved By Analytical, Experimental and Computer Simulation Methods."
