SALEM - Salem couldn't get their bats going in a 5-3 loss to Hubbard Friday. The Lady Quakers were actually tied with the Lady Eagles 4-4 in the fourth before surrendering three runs in the top of the seventh.
For Salem, Kaylin Wood had a triple and an RBI. Katie McDevitt added a single and an RBI. Raegan Meals added an RBI single and Courtney Waters had two RBIs.
Salem (2-10) plays a doubleheader today at Columbiana.
The Salem jayvees play Columbiana at 2 p.m. at Memorial Park.

HANVOERTON - United scored five unearned runs in the bottom of the seventh to beat Springfield 5-4 Friday.
Leading the Lady Eagles was Cassidy Yoder with two hits, two RBIs and a run scored. Krista McCartney picked up the win on the mound striking out five. She also went 4-for-4.
Taylor Smith added three hits and an RBI.
For Springfield, Jessica Evan had three hits including two doubles. Samanth Semach had three hits, and Nicole Sicilano had two hits including a double.
Springfield (3-5) committed five errors.
United (6-5, 3-4 ITCL Tier 1) plays a doubleheader at Minerva Saturday.

COLUMBIANA - Crestview's Samantha Graham threw a no-hitter and struck out eight as the Lady Rebels beat Wellsville 16-0 in five innings Friday.
Alexis Brooks had two singles, two doubles and five RBIs. Logan Rantz had a single, double and RBI, and Kayleigh Miller added a single and an RBI.
Crestview (4-7, 0-6 ITCL Tier 1) plays a doubleheader at Leetonia today.

Leading the Quakers was Keaton O'Brien with two hits and a run scored. Jon Fortney and Jake Carner both added a hit and a run apiece.
Alex Weikart allowed three runs over 5 1/3 innings of work.
Salem (1-10) hosts a doubleheader at 2 p.m. today against Springfield.

For United, Tyler Dunn and Tanner Moats both went 2-for-3.
