An ‘Enchanted Lunch with Belle and Friends’ planned April 21 at West Branch High School

BELOIT - The West Branch High School Choral Department will be staging the popular Disney Broadway show Beauty and the Beast April 19-23.

This show connects with people of all ages but has been enjoyed by millions of children all over the world since it came out in the 1990s. This year, because the show lends itself to younger people, the choral department at West Branch will be holding a special luncheon titled "Enchanted Lunch with Belle and Friends" at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 21 at the high school. The matinee performance will begin at 3 p.m.

The menu includes chicken fingers, chips, cupcakes, fresh fruit, beverage and a treat bag. Children will be able to meet the main characters in the show which include Belle, the Beast, Cogsworth, Lumiere, The Wardrobe, Babbette, Chip, Maurice, Gaston, Mrs. Potts, and Lefou.

The menu was chosen to appeal to all children and there will be activities such as face-painting, games and each child will be able to choose their favorite character to be photographed with. The ticket price of $15 includes the lunch, the show and the photograph in a special frame. Tickets will be offered to adults for the same price.

A dinner show will also be held on April 20 for people of all ages.

The menu includes Belle's Stuffed Chicken Breast, The Master's Slow Roasted Fillet of Beef, Lumiere's Lucious Stuffed Shells, Gaston's Parsley Redskin Potatoes, Cogsworth's Timely Tossed Salad, Babbett's Best Rolls and Butter, Darque's Devilish Desserts, Chip's Fruit Punch and Mrs. Pott's Special Brewed Coffee.

The food for this special event will be prepared by The Catered Affair, owned and operated by Lorrie Weingart. The ticket price of $25 for adults and $20 for students includes the all you can eat buffet and the show. Dinner begins at 5:30 p.m. and the show follows at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets may be purchased by calling 330-938-4442. The show will be presented in the West Branch Community Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. April 19, 20 and 23; at 3 and 7:30 p.m. April 21; and 3 p.m. April 22. Lunch and dinner is optional and the show only ticket price for all the performances is $10 for adults and $8 for students.
