SALEM - A Salem woman was listed in critical condition at St. Elizabeth Hospital late Thursday afternoon from injuries she suffered after falling out of a vehicle on the Salem Commons apartment complex property on Lexington Avenue.
City Police Chief Bob Floor said officers were still investigating what exactly happened to Kristina M. Bradway, 30, of 2553 Lexington Ave., to cause the accident, but he said according to early reports, she may have been intoxicated and fooling around when she fell out and hit the pavement.
Police were called at 1:55 a.m. Thursday to the Salem Community Hospital emergency department by a nurse who said a female was brought in with serious injuries. From there, she was taken by helicopter to St. Elizabeth Hospital. A hospital spokesman said she was in criticial condition.
According to Floor, Bradway was a passenger in a vehicle being driven by Cletis Ray Curtis Monroy, 28, of Taylor Avenue, Salem. He said she was not run over by the vehicle, but hit the pavement when she either fell out or jumped out.
The incident remains under investigation.
