Deborah Kelly Rhodes of Salem and Earl R. Rhodes of North Canton are announcing the engagement and forthcoming summer marriage of their daughter, Kristen Leigh, to Shawn David Tooley. He is the son of Carol Koehler and David and Vickie Tooley of Sycamore.
The couple's private, double-ring ceremony and reception will be held on June 16 at Gervasi Vineyard in Canton. The date chosen by the couple will also mark the 61st wedding anniversary of the bride-to-be's paternal grandparents, Jim and Jean Rhodes of Winona. Her maternal grandparents are Jim and Nancy Kelly of Salem.
The prospective bridegroom's grandparents are Diane Tooley of Sycamore and the late Wade Tooley and the late Kenneth and Grace Koehler.
The bride-to-be, a 2005 honors graduate of Salem High School, is a 2009 graduate of The Ohio State University with a bachelor's of arts degree in speech and hearing science. She plans to graduate summa cum laude in May from Tiffin University with a master's of business administration degree in healthcare administration. She is currently an admissions counselor at Tiffin University.
Her fiance, a 2005 graduate of Mohawk High School, is a 2010 graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor's of science degree in construction management. He is currently employed at Hemm's Glass Shops in Piqua.
