Lauren Elizabeth Allen and Nicholas Edwin Baird were united in marriage on Jan. 11 on the beach at White House Sandals in Jamaica. Oswald A. Hall officiated at the couple's double-ring ceremony at 4 p.m.
The bride is the daughter of Craig and Kathy Allen of 5075 Boulder Creek Drive, Solon.
The bridegroom's parents are Douglas and Cathy Baird, 13350 W. Calla Road, Salem.
Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride appeared in a mermaid-cut gown with a sweetheart bodice and flared skirt. She carried a bouquet of white orchids.
The maid of honor was Natalie Butler of Stow.
Bridesmaids were Julia Fogelberg of Minnesota, Kelly Darian of New York City, Erica Allen of Dayton, the bride's sister-in-law; and Erica Baird of Salem, the bridegroom's sister.
Matt Sobotka of Virginia and Jesse Ritchie of Salem were the best men.
Ushers were Dan Goodman of Lisbon, Donnie Close of North Canton and Ryan Allen, the bride's brother.
Thirty-five guests attended the reception at the Jamaica White House.
The bride graduated from Miami of Ohio with a bachelor's degree in communication. She is attending Cleveland State University for a master's degree in occupational therapy.
The bridegroom graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in marketing. He is employed as a regional sales manager for Edgepark Medical Supplies in Twinsburg.
