West Branch 53, South Range 50

BELOIT - West Branch rallied from an 11-point deficit to beat South Range 53-50 Friday night, snapping a four-game losing streak to finish the regular season at 10-10.

Leading the Warriors was Scott Muckleroy with a team-high 13 points. Matt Latham added 11 points, and Austen Rekolt dished out 10 assists.

For South Range, Dan Good had a game-high 21 points, and Brandon Pluchinsky added 11.

West Branch also won the jayvee contest 52-38. Dustin Greenawalt had 15 points for the Warriors.

West Branch (10-10) begins Division II tournament play Friday against Southeast at Boardman High School. South Range (16-4) begins Division III tournament play Wednesday against the winner of East Palestine-Columbiana.

Sebring 64, Chalker 53

SEBRING - Sebring tallied its fourth-straight win behind Dakota Wagner's 24 points, 17 rebounds and five steals beating Southington Chalker 64-53.

Jake Hubbs added eight points, and Tony Sabatine had seven points and four assists.

Chalker was led by Jacob Zolna with 14 points.

Sebring (12-8) opens Division VI tournament play 6 p.m. Tuesday against Heartland Christian at Struthers High School.

Lisbon 56, Heartland 49

COLUMBIANA - Zack Rovnak tallied 26 points as Lisbon capped its regular season with a 56-49 victory over Heartland Christian on Friday.

Zac Barnes added 18 points for the Blue Devils, 11-9. Jake Borg had seven boards.

Heartland fell to 4-16. Jared Robinson had 16 points to lead the Lions.

Lisbon will face St. Thomas Aquinas on Tuesday in the Division III sectional tournament at Salem.

Heartland will square off against Sebring on Tuesday in the Division VI sectional tournament at Struthers.

Division II District Tournament @ Alliance

ALLIANCE - The West Branch Warriors took nine wrestlers to the Division II Alliance District Tournament Friday. Seven of the nine will compete today, with two remaining in the winners bracket.

Mikey Estock (138) won a majority decision over Edgewood's Matthew Stolfer 12-0, then won a decision over Woodridge's Pat Dickinson 6-4.

He'll open with Walsh Jesuit's Nate Skonieczny in the championship semifinals today.

Connor Sharp (285) earned a trip to the championship semifinals as well with a pin over Edgewood's Matthew Burch (2:54) and a decision over Benedictine's Joe Nawalaniec 2-1.

Sharp will open with Perry's Billy Miller in the semifinals today.

Competing today in the consolation bracket for West Branch will be Tyler Pidgeon (113), Kenny Faulkner (145), William Paynter (160), Aaron Page (170) and Joe Karlen (182).

Also competing in the consolation bracket will be Salem's Scott Lodge who earned a pin over Fairless' Tyler Shepard (0:54) before suffering a decision loss to Woodridge's Alex Minns 4-2.
