Crestview 63, Heartland Christian 41

COLUMBIANA - Crestview closed its regular season on a high note with a 63-41 win over Heartland Christian.

The Rebels finished the year 14-6 overall.

Leading Crestview was C.J. Collins with 14 points and 21 rebounds. Nate Climo added 11 points and four steals. Robert Logan had 11 points, and Tommy Oliver added 10.

Jared Robinson had 13 points for Heartland.

Crestview will begin tournament play Friday, March 2 against the winner of Akron-Manchester and Rootstown at Salem High School.

Heartland Christian hosts Lisbon Friday.

Poland 52, West Branch 42

POLAND - West Branch hasn't had much success as of late. The Warriors dropped their sixth-straight contest 52-42 to Poland Tuesday.

West Branch was led by Jacob Griffith with 11 points and seven rebounds. Matt Latham added 10 points, six rebounds and five assists.

For Poland, Colin Reardon had a game-high 25 points.

Poland also won the jayvee contest 61-41. Zach Mucklo and Matt Meiter had nine points each for the Warriors.

West Branch (9-10) concludes its regular season Friday hosting South Range.

Poland (14-5) closes its season Friday at Girard.

Brookfield 58, East Palestine 49

EAST PALESTINE - East Palestine's slow start cost them Tuesday as the Bulldogs fell to visiting Brookfield 58-49. Palestine was outscored 21-4 in the first quarter.

Leading the Bulldogs was Jake DiCello and Travis Cope with 12 points each.

DiCello added five assists, and Zak Brockman had 13 rebounds.

Preston Sirochman had a game-high 17 points for Brookfield.

East Palestine won the jayvee game 41-28. Billy Bibby had 13 points for Bulldogs.

East Palestine (10-9) hosts United Thursday.

Leetonia 62, Lordstown 45

LORDSTOWN - Leetonia guard Nick Altomare went down back in December with a broken wrist. He showed just how much he means to the Bears in his first game back running the floor in a 62-45 win. Altomare finished with seven points, seven assists and three steals.

Cody Stokes had a game-high 20 points and seven rebounds, and Ian Sevenich added 16 points.

Cody Valentine also chipped in 10 points.

Leetonia finishes the year 5-15 but get a fresh start in tournament play with their full starting lineup in tact. They will play the winner of top-seeded Mogadore and Heritage Christian Friday, March 2 in Struthers.

Springfield 48, McDonald 44

NEW MIDDLETOWN - Springfield closed out its regular season with a 48-44 win over McDonald Tuesday. Leading the Tigers was Ron Rogers with 11 points.

Matt Seitz had a game-high 19 for McDonald.

Springfield also won the jayvee contest. Mark Schuler had 11 points.

Springfield (18-2) begins tournament play 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 29 against the winner of Waterloo and United.

McDonald (11-8, 9-4 ITCL Tier 2) will go for a share of the Inter-Tri County League Tier 2 title Friday when it travels to Southern Local.
