Sebring 52, Wellsville 51

SEBRING - Sebring used a fourth-quarter rally to spring past Wellsville 52-51 Friday. The Trojans trailed by six points entering the quarter but outscored the Tigers 16-7 in the final eight minutes.

Leading Sebring was Mitch Baddeley with 13 points and three assists. Jake Hubbs added 13 points and four rebounds.

For Wellsville (10-9, 7-6 ITCL Tier 2), Jordan Sloan had 15 points.

Wellsville won the jayvee game 57-34. Leading Sebring was Dylan Mick with 11 points. Sebring (10-8, 7-7 ITCL Tier 2) travels to Lisbon Tuesday.

Springfield 61, Western Reserve 39

BERLIN CENTER - Springfield proved too much for Western Reserve Friday dropping the Blue Devils 61-39 Friday.

Leading the Tigers was Tom Mastran with 11 points. Ron Rogers and Eoghan Bees added 10 each.

For Western Reserve Payton Snyder had 12 points, and Cory Zimmerman added 10. Tyler Powell added seven rebounds.

Western Reserve finishes the regular season at 11-9 and begins tournament play against Lowellville at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27.

Springfield improves to 17-2 and begins tournament play Wednesday, Feb. 29 against the winner of Waterloo and United at Salem High School.

Marlington 54, West Branch 31

MARLINGTON - Marlington outscored West Branch 11-2 in the first quarter and never looked back beating the Warriors 54-31.

Leading the Dukes was Lucas Strouble with 29 points.

West Branch's Matt Latham had 12 points. Austen Rekolt added six points and six assists.

Marlington also won the jayvee contest 45-32. Matt Meiter had eight for the Warriors.

West Branch (9-9, 6-8 NBC) plays Tuesday at Poland.

7th Grade ITCL Boys Tournament

LISBON - Springfield dropped Columbiana 24-20 in seventh grade ITCL Tier 1 boys tournament action. Caleb Mercer had eight for the Tigers. Mitch Davidson had 12 for Columbiana.

Lisbon defeated South Range 27-22. Bailey McCullough had 13 for Lisbon. Taymer Graham had seven for South Range.

Lisbon meets Columbiana today at 11:15 a.m. in the title tilt.

Columbiana takes on South Range in the consolation battle at 10 a.m.

8th Grade NBC Girls Tournament

ALLIANCE - The eighth grade Salem Lady Quakers fell to Louisville 28-15 in the title contest of the eighth grade girls NBC tournament. Sadie Alezzi, Rylee Lieder, Kendra Richardson and Olivia Stiff all scored for Salem. Salem finishes the year at 11-8.
