Canton South 60, Salem 45

CANTON - Salem's Northeastern Buckeye Conference woes continued as the Quakers fell to last place losing 60-45 at Canton South Tuesday.

Salem trailed in all four quarters.

Leading the Quakers was Ryan Bush with a game-high 21 points. No other Quaker made it to double digits. Brendan Webb was the second highest for Salem with seven points.

For South, Armond Fontes tallied 20 points. Trey Taylor added 19.

Salem (5-11, 2-10 NBC) will try to snap its league skid Friday when the team travels to take on unbeaten Alliance.

Jackson-Milton 50, Leetonia 44

LEETONIA - Jackson-Milton is one step closer to the Inter-Tri County League Tier 2 crown after tallying a 50-44 win over Leetonia.

Ryan Nagy had 10 points for the Bluejays.

For Leetonia, Cody Stokes had a game-high 22 points and 10 rebounds. He also tallied his 1,000th-career point in the fourth quarter.

Ian Sevenich added 15 points.

Jackson-Milton (11-7, 9-4 ITCL Tier 2) plays Friday at Western Reserve.

The Bluejays and McDonald both currently have four league losses. If Jackson-Milton wins Friday it will clinch at least a share of the league crown.

Leetonia (4-13, 2-11 ITCL Tier 2) hosts Lowellville.

Sebring 50, Southern 35

SALINEVILLE - Sebring picked up its second-straight road win 50-35 over Southern Tuesday.

The Trojans led by just one at half but shut down the Indians' offense in the final two frames.

Leading Sebring was Corey Baia with a game-high 13 points. Baia added two assists and two steals.

Dakota Wagner had 11 points and 10 rebounds, and Jake Hubbs and Mitch Baddeley had 10 points each.

Kyler Woodward and Jared Sevek had eight points each for Southern.

Southern won the jayvee game 46-32 Southern. Dylan Mick and Kirby Wilt had eight points each for the Trojans.

Sebring (8-7, 6-6 ITCL Tier 2) plays Friday at Wellsville.

Southern (9-7, 5-6 ITCL Tier 2) plays at McDonald.

LOWELLVILLE - Western Reserve had trouble getting its offense going in Lowellville in a 53-35 defeat. The Blue Devils scored just 11 points in the second and third quarters combined.

Leading Reserve was Jeff Clegg with 13 points. Dalton Korda had six points and seven rebounds, and Tom Benyo had eight points.

For Lowellville, Nate Wilaj had a game-high 14 points.

Western Reserve (10-7, 7-6 ITCL Tier 2) hosts Jackson-Milton Friday.

Lowellville (8-11, 6-7 ITCL Tier 2) plays at Leetonia.

South Range 43, East Palestine 37

CANFIELD - South Range rallied past visiting East Palestine Tuesday 43-37. The Raiders trailed 21-16 at half but held the Bulldogs to just three third-quarter points.

Leading South Range was Dan Good with 12 points. Jordan Baker added nine.

For the Bulldogs, Jake DiCello had a game-high 19 points along with four assists and four steals.

South Range won the jayvee game 32-29. Leading the Raiders was Mason Miller with 10 points. Billy Bibby had 18 for the Bulldogs.

South Range (14-3, 11-2 ITCL Tier 1) plays at Columbiana Friday.

East Palestine (8-7, 7-5 ITCL Tier 1) plays at Springfield.

COLUMBIANA - Crestview dropped Lisbon 55-43 in league action Tuesday.

For the Rebels, C.J. Collins had 17 points and eight rebounds. Adam Coppock added eight points, four steals and seven assists.

For Lisbon, Dake Borg and Drew Sweeney had eight points each. C.J. Dawson had five points and 10 rebounds.

Crestview won the jayvee game 68-17, Enzo Lucci had 15 for the Rebels. Corey Brammer had nine for Lisbon.

Louisville 56, West Branch 37

LOUISVILLE - Life on the road was tough for the West Branch girls basketball team Monday.

Louisville snatched at least a share of the NBC crown with a 56-37 win over the Lady Warriors.

West Branch beat Louisville 56-41 the first time aroudn. The Lady Warriors, ranked No. 10 in the latest Division II poll had won 12 straight.

Louisville (14-4, 12-1 NBC) can win the league title outright with a win over Canton South today.

Bri Libertore led the Lady Leopards with 15 points.

No Lady Warrior hit double figures. Rebekah Zets had nine points and seven rebounds.

West Branch had 15 turnovers.

West Branch (15-2, 11-2 NBC) plays today at Alliance.
