Penny Garrett and David Downey of Columbiana are announcing their engagement. They plan to be married at 3 p.m. Dec. 24 at Faith Chapel Fellowship in Salem. A small reception will follow.
The bride-to-be is a 1994 graduate of East Palestine High School and employed as a caregiver at Whispering Pines Assisted Living Facility in Columbiana. She is the daughter of Beverly and Danny Garrett of Leetonia.
Mr. Downey is a 1984 graduate of East Palestine High School. His parents are Shirley and Richard Downey of East Palestine. He is a supervisor at Dillion Products in Middlefield.
