Mr. and Mrs. Daniel M. Miller Jr. of Salem recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
Lifelong Salem residents, the former Dorothy J. (Dotti) Scullion and Mr. Miller were married on May 19, 1961, at St. Paul Catholic Church. The late Rev. Richard Gaffney officiated.
Their attendants were the bride's sister, Mrs. Ronald (Mary Jo Scullion) Fazulak of Olmsted Falls, a Salem native, and the late Joseph E. Cain of Salem.
Mrs. Miller is the adopted daughter of the late Rosemarie Scullion of Salem. Her husband's parents are the late Daniel M. and Dorothy Mae (Dougher) Miller of Salem.
The couple's children are David M. and Jessie Miller of Salem, Theresa M. and Douglas Riley of Salem, and Dorothy I. Miller of Boston, Mass. The Millers have three grandchildren, Douglas K. Riley, Bridgette Riley and Camryn Riley, all of Salem.
Mr. Miller is an ophthalmology photographer with Ohio Eye Alliance, where he has been employed for nearly 45 years.
Prior to retiring, Mrs. Miller was employed with the Salem News for 30 years as the lifestyle editor and a photographer. She is a lifelong member of St. Paul Catholic Church, where she serves in various ministries. She also is a member of St. Paul Loyal Christian Benefit Association Branch 654 and St. Paul's Seniors.
The Millers enjoy traveling and gardening and are avid sports fans.
Anniversary celebrations included a vacation at The Inn On The Lake, a lakefront resort in Canandaigua, N.Y.
