Walter and Velma Krisa of East Palestine celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on April 30. They were married on April 30, 1949, at the Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church in Ellwood City, Pa., by Father Michael Chanda. The best man was Paul Kalemen and his sister, Mary Kaleman, served as maid of honor.
Mr. and Mrs. Krisa have resided in East Palestine for 43 years. He is a retired carpenter from Local 422 New Brighton, Pa. Mrs. Krisa retired from Threshold Residential. Both were very active in the community of East Palestine.
