Laci Nicole Meals became the bride of Joseph Michael Sox on Dec. 31 at St. Paul Catholic Church in Salem. Father Bob Edwards officiated at the couple's 6:30 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Gerald and Robyn Meals of Salem. The bridegroom's parents are Kenneth and Sherry Sox of Salem.
Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a strapless white satin and taffeta-layered sweetheart shaped bodice with an asymmetrical dropped waistline gown enhanced with a pleat in the front. The back featured a satin hem-lined chapel-length train. She wore her mother's veil and paternal grandmother's jewelry that she wore in her wedding, while carrying a bouquet of white roses.
Maggie Reedy, the bride's cousin, served as the matron of honor in a black with silver sash gown. In matching silver with black sash gowns were bridesmaids, Peyton Meals, Rylee Meals and Raegan Meals, the bride's sisters; Michelle Sox, the bridegroom's sister; Nicole Young, Aurora Leguard, Sarah Ravelli and Carly Rossmeissl. Addison Craven served as the flower girl.
Michael McKinney performed the duties as the best man.
Groomsmen were Jansen Meals, the bride's brother, Kevin Bush, David Young, Darren Waselich, Greg Ziegler, Dave Talbert, Nick Peters and Kevin Engle. Lance Bailey served as the ring bearer.
Approximately 300 guests attended the reception which followed at The Georgetown in Boardman.
The bride is a graduate of Salem High School, the University of Akron, and Casal Aveda Institute. She is employed as a cosmetologist at Mane Perfection Hair Salon in Salem.
The bridegroom graduated from Salem High School and Kent State University. He is employed as the material and shipping coordinator at PTC Alliance in Beaver Falls, Pa.
Following a honeymoon in the Caribbean, the couple resides in Salem.
