John Higgins Sr. was honored on the occasion of his 90th birthday at a party on March 12 at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Rob Shafer of Dungannon. Attending were his children, John Higgins Jr., Richard Higgins, as well as nine of his 10 grandchildren and his three great-grandchildren.
Mr. Higgins was born on March 14, 1921, in East Liverpool, the son of the late Benson and Nellie Higgins. He was a resident of East Liverpool until 2003 when he moved to Dungannon.
Family and friends attended from Dungannon, East Liverpool, Salem and Yorkville.
