Mills Insurance, Mega Insurance recognized

LISBON-Mills Insurance Agency and Mega Insurance Group have earned the distinction of "Preferred Agency Partner" from Western Reserve Group Insurance Company. Representing Western Reserve Group since 1980, this designation is awarded to Agencies that have achieved superior results through sound business practices, professional advice, and superior service. Neil McClester, Derek Hiscox, and J.D. Gauron established the Mega Insurance Group in 1994. Mega evolved from the Mills Insurance Agency which was founded in 1959 by Jack and Lila Mills, the Eason Agency which was founded in 1903, and J.D. Gauron Agency which was established in 1985 and has roots back to 1958. In 2003 Miller-Thomas-Montgomery Insurance Agency was merged with its East Liverpool agency and William Montgomery became an agency partner. Grant writing seminar scheduled

EAST LIVERPOOL-Every year non-profit organizations receive millions of dollars from both the government and the private sector to carry out vital areas of hands on service to their community. To tap into these available resources, it is necessary to know and understand the dynamics of how the system works, how to prepare a grant that fulfills the necessary requirements, and how to find the source of this income. Many of those who are eligible to receive funds from private and government organizations are totally unaware that these funds even exist. A one-day grant writing training seminar will be held from 6 to 9:30 p.m. March 24 at First Free Methodist Church, 16260 St. Clair Ave. Some of the areas to find grant money to fund include buildings, youth programs, computer skills, theater, libraries, museums, counseling, food banks, literacy programs, rehabilitation, health care, job training, education, day care, etc. Cost is $45 per person which includes registration, workbook, and ongoing support services. NBT appoints Schreiner as president

EAST LIVERPOOL-The information technologies firm, Newbold Technologies Inc. (NBT) located in East Liverpool, has hired Dr. Jeryl Schreiner to serve as president of the firm. Craig Newbold, who established the organization in 2004, remains CEO. However, since the majority of Newbold's time is now dedicated to his new role as state representative for District One, Dr. Schreiner will take responsibility for strategic initiatives as well as the day to day operations of the corporation. NewBold Technologies provides a broad variety of Application Support Services for companies that want an effective alternative to off-shoring software development jobs to other countries. NBT also provides Infrastructure Support Services, i.e. networking, hardware and software support, etc., to local firms. Leading technology firms has been a passion throughout Dr. Schreiner's multi-faceted career. She has led large organizational information technology divisions at corporations like Weirton Steel, MetalSite, and ScrapSite. Most recently, she used her talents to create and manage two corporations, Idea Foundry and WillowRock, Inc., focused on investing in and assisting startup companies. She has also taught and directed educational programs at the high school, college and corporate levels.

Dr. Schreiner was born and raised in East Liverpool and is a graduate of East Liverpool High School, class of 1972. She received multiple bachelor's degrees in mathematics, English and computer science. Furthering her education she obtained a master's in education from the University of Dayton and her doctorate of science in information technology and communications from Robert Morris University.

Morris qualifies for 'Court of the Table'
