Emily Bletzacker and Derek Gordon, both of Canton, and formerly of Salem, were married on Oct. 16 at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Canton.
The Rev. Paul L. Gaston officiated at the couple's double heirloom-ring ceremony. The bride's rings were from the bridegroom's maternal great-grandmother and the bridegroom's ring was from his maternal great-grandfather.
Parents of the bride are Kirk and Beth Bletzacker of Canton.
Parents of the bridegroom are Geoff and Bobbi Gordon, also of Canton. He is the grandson of Ron and Kay Stanley of Salem and the late Bruce and Eileen Gordon.
Lindsay Mellor, the bride's cousin, was matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Cory Levy, sister-in-law; Caitlyn Thomas, Joy Raub, Rachel Weisel and Mandy Pelger. The flower girl was Gabi Gibson, the bridegroom's cousin.
Drew Pelger served as the best man.
Ushers were Zack Levy and Alex Bletzacker, brothers-in-law; Lt. Andrew Gordon, the bridegroom's cousin; Nate Mullen, formerly of Salem, and Craig Berry.
The ring bearer was Braydon Gibson, the bridegroom's cousin.
Music was provided by W. Robert Morrison (organist) and Nate Mullen (pianist). Readings were provided by Ron Stanley, the bridegroom's grandfather.
The Rev. Dwaine Stanley, the bridegroom's great uncle, led the reception party in prayer.
The reception was held at the McKinley Grand in downtown Canton.
The newlyweds are graduates of Canton McKinley High School. The bridegroom is a 2007 graduate of the University of Mount Union and works for the mayor's office in Canton.
The bride plans to graduate from the University of Mount Union in May 2011 with a biology degree.
They currently reside in Canton and will be honeymooning in Hawaii.
