Big Rock Lake in Leetonia was the site of the 60th wedding anniversary celebration of Bob and Lois Mesmer on Aug. 28. Over 80 family and friends attended.
The couple was married on Aug. 26, 1950, by the Rev. C.B.A. Stacy at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in New Springfield.
The Mesmers continue to stay active and enjoy reading, day trips, golf, family events and quiet time at home.
The Hawaiian luau event was hosted by Bob and Marty Mesmer, Alan and Deb Mesmer of Leetonia, Kim and John Talbot of Wilmington, N.C., and Ann and Randy Zeigler of Woodbridge, Va., as well as seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
