The bride is the daughter of Kevin and Carol Smith of Steubenville. The bridegroom is the son of Robin Paynter and William Ronald Paynter of Salem.
The bride was attired in a strapless satin-back taffeta gown and carried a bouquet of hot pink roses.
Criss Needham of Cuyahoga Falls and Leigh Ann Needham of Akron served as maids of honor. Erika Gainer of Kent served as matron of honor and her daughter Ava Gainer served as flower girl.
Tyler Minamyer of Chesapeake, Va., served as best man. Groomsmen included Joe Lesek of Miami, Fla., and Tim Treleven of Las Vegas.
The bride is a 1999 graduate of Edison High School and a 2003 graduate of Kent State University with a bachelor's degree in human development and family studies. She is employed at a staffing agency in Charlotte, N.C.
The bridegroom, a 1997 graduate of Salem High School, graduated in 2004 from KSU with a bachelor's degree in business administration. He is employed as a regional manager for Gripper Gasket.
A reception was held at Northstone Country Club in North Carolina.
The couple honeymooned in Riviera Maya, Mexico, and currently reside in North Carolina.
