Salem News

Mr. and Mrs. James Senanefes of 320 E. Pidgeon Road, Salem, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a six-week trip and reception in Greece.

The former Chryssanthi Grigologlov and Mr. Senanefes were married on July 31, 1960, at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Youngstown. The late Father George Hadges of the church officiated.

The couple has a daughter, Christine Senanefes of Columbus; a son, Michael (Misty) of Columbus; and two grandchildren, Zachary James Senanefes of Columbus and Taylor Watson of Cleveland.

Mr. Senanefes was employed at Salem Valve and retired in 1995 from Sekely's.

Mrs. Senanefes retired in 1998 from Land O' Lakes. She previously was employed at the A&P Warehouse.

Mr. and Mrs. Senanefes enjoy traveling together and spending time with their children and grandchildren. Mrs. Senanefes is very involved with her church and spends many hours there making, among other things, Greek pastries.
