Doug and Gayle Detchon of Salem are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Brittany Nicole Detchon, to Ronald Edward Louk Jr. He is the son of Ron and Donna Louk of Salem.
The bride-to-be graduated from Kent State University, Salem campus, with an associate's degree in business. She is currently employed as a cashier at the Salem Sparkle Market.
Her fiance is attending KSU, studying for a bachelor's degree in accounting. He is employed as the general manager at Hobbytown USA in Boardman.
The couple's wedding ceremony will be held on Sept. 24, 2011.
Invitations will be issued for the reception to follow at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5532 in Washingtonville.
