Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ehrhart of Salem celebrated their diamond anniversary recently.
The former Patricia Neely and Mr. Ehrhart were married on Aug. 17, 1950, at the Presbyterian Church Chapel in Salem. The Rev. George Keister performed the ceremony. Witnesses were Donna (Neely) Pastier and Thomas Miner.
The Ehrharts have two daughters, Sylvia (David) Long and Sandra (Mark) Geist; three grandchildren, Ryan Long and Jacklyn Geist of Salem, Christina Geist; and a great- grandson, Brady Hendricks of Rochester Hills, Mich.
Mrs. Ehrhart was employed as an office clerk at the Church Budget Envelope Company in Salem, leaving to be with her husband during his 21 years of military service.
Mr. Ehrhart retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1972 and from Kent State University in 1989.
To celebrate the occasion, they traveled to central and upper Michigan and visited with their granddaughter and great-grandson Brady in Rochester Hills.
