Mr. and Mrs. Frank Miesse celebrate 60th anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Miesse of Springfield, formerly of Celina, will be honored on the occasion of their 60th wedding anniversary at an open house reception on Aug. 14 at Miesse's Herbs, 2525 Springfield-Xenia Road, Springfield. The reception is being hosted by their children and grandchildren. Friends and relatives are welcome from 1 to 4 p.m.

The former Irene Thomas and Mr. Miesse were married on Aug. 15, 1950, at the Church of God in Celina by the Rev. Paul Tewell.

The Miesses are the parents of four sons, Rick, Kent, Brent, and Jock Miesse of Springfield; and two daughters, Mrs. Gary (Vicki "Sissy") Conley of Springfield and Mrs. Jack (Debbie) Hatten of Wilmington. They also have 23 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren, with more on the way soon.

Mr. and Mrs. Miesse have owned and operated Miesse's Herbs in Springfield for the past 35 years. He is a former pastor of Celina Baptist Temple and Bible Baptist Temple of Springfield. Currently, the Miesses are active members of Northside Baptist Church in Springfield. In their spare time, Mr. Miesse enjoys woodworking, and the couple enjoys fishing and tending to their miniature Hereford cattle.
