Mr. and Mrs. Bob Watson to mark 90th birthdays

A 90th and an almost 90th birthday party will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. July 18 at the Hanoverton Presbyterian Church honoring Bob and Bette Watson of Hanoverton. Mr. Watson was born July 12, 1920, in Wellsville, to Walter and Florence (Thompson) Watson. He graduated from Wellsville High School and served in the Army during World War II. He worked at Loudon Ford until starting his own business, Watson Sales and Service, retiring in 1983. He was a member of the Hanover Fire Department, serving many years as chief, and on village council. Mrs. Watson was born Jan. 1, 1921, in Leetsdale to Raymond and Elvira(Anschutz) Rowe. She graduated from Leetsdale High School and was employed in local stores and the Hanoverton Post Office until starting the business with her husband. The couple was married Feb. 12, 1946 and moved to Hanoverton in 1951. They request that gifts be omitted.
