SALEM-The Salem Community Hospital Auxiliary will meet at 9:30 a.m. Thursday. Rick Setty, R. S., health commissioner, Salem City Health District, will present "Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Salem's Health District."

Lisbon 1952 lunch

LISBON-The David Anderson High School Class of 1952 plans to meet for lunch at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Taste of Country.

'Alice in Wonderland'

COLUMBIANA-The Columbiana High School Drama Club will present "Alice in Wonderland" in the high school auditorium. Performances begin at 7 p.m. Thursday, 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and at 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are available at the door. Cost is $5 for adults, $3 for students and $2 for senior citizens. Those attending should enter through the west door near the high school gymnasium.

20/30 Club to meet

AUSTINTOWN-The Mahoning Valley Professional 20/30 Club will meet from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at O'Donold's Irish Pub, 6000 Mahoning Ave. Tickets are $5 for members and $10 for non-members. For information or to purchase advance tickets go to www.mvp2030.org or email social@mvp2030club.org.

All-you-can-eat breakfast

NORTH BENTON-An all-you-can-eat breakfast will be served from 7 to 11 a.m. Saturday at North Benton Presbyterian Church. Cost is $5 for adults, $3.50 for children, and free for under 5.

Used book sale in Salem

SALEM-Salem Public Library's semi-annual used book sale, sponsored by the Salem Public Library Memorial Fund Association, will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul School gymnasium, 925 E. State St. Proceeds from the sale are given to the library to purchase new materials for the library. For information call 330-332-0042.

NEW WATERFORD-The New Waterford High School Class of 1957 will meet for lunch at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Heck's Restaurant in Columbiana.

Goshen 1959 lunch

SALEM-The Goshen High School Class of 1959 will meet for lunch at noon Saturday at Salem Hills Golf and Country Club.

Chicken dinner set

EAST ROCHESTER- A chicken dinner will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at Bayard Grange. The menu includes a choice of creamed chicken over biscuits or with noodles, or a sampler of both with green beans, choice of cole slaw or applesauce dessert and beverage. Cost is $8 for large or $5 for small. Carryouts are available. The grange is located on U.S. Route 30. For information call 330-894-2902.

Banquet in Salem

SALEM-An anonymous sponsor will provide the meal for the Banquet in Salem to be served from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Memorial Building. The menu offers baked pork loin, mashed potatoes and gravy, dressing, lima beans, cole slaw, fruit, vegetables and brownies. Soup/chili cook-off winners

SALINEVILLE-The Salineville-Southern Lions Club hosted hosted its first soup/chili cook-off on Feb. 20. The winners were: Mayor Dave Berta, first place with his spicy, hot sausage chili; Sarai Wood, second place, Idaho Potato Bacon Soup; and third place, a tie between Pastor Pat Smith, Chicken Noodle Soup, and Judy Locklear, Secret Family Recipe Chili.

The next soup/chili cook-off is scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m. March 27 at the Salineville Fire Hall. For early registration call 330-679-2729 by March 23. Dishes may also be registered at the door the day of the event. The entry fee is $20. All donations go to the club.

The club will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Salineville United Methodist Church.

Salem Dems to meet

SALEM - The Salem-Perry Democratic Party regular monthly meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Salem Chamber of Commerce building.
