Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Mervin Sharp to celebrate 60th anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Mervin Sharp will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Sunday.

The former Ruth Elizabeth Buckley, daughter of the late Raymond and Fern Buckley of Lisbon, and Mr. Sharp, son of the late Harold and Osa Sharp of Lisbon, were married on Feb. 21, 1950 in Salem, by the Rev. George Keister.

The Sharps have a daughter, Mrs. Allan (Carol) Brown of Lisbon; four grandchildren, Mrs. Nathaniel (Shelley) Pirogowicz, Allison Brown and Joshua Brown, all of Lisbon, and Matthew Brown of Canaan; and a great-grandchild, Isabella Pirogowicz.

Mr. Sharp worked at Precision Casting Corporation (PCC) in Minerva, as a furnace operator and retired following 37 years of service.

Mrs. Sharp has been a homemaker during their 60 years of marriage. They both attend the Lisbon Church of the Nazarene.
