The family of Roland and Mary Jo Smith of 10412 W. Pine Lake Road, Salem, are announcing the 50th anniversary of their parents, on Feb. 14.
The couple was married on Feb. 14, 960, at the home of her parents, Ken and Myrtle Gross of Columbiana. Pastor Frank Lillie officiated, with Paul and Catherine Carroll serving as witnesses.
The Smiths are the parents of seven children, grandparents of 11, and great-grandparents of four. Their children include David (Carol) Smith of Boston, Mass., Susan Smith and Julie (Robert) Crawford of Salem, Nancy Ford of Houston, Texas, and Cinda (Ralph) Elser and Ken Smith of Columbiana.
A son, John Roland Smith, is deceased.
Their family has suggested a card shower for their parents.
