New Year's Eve was the date selected for the afternoon wedding ceremony of Susan Falk and Airman Matthew L. Hall. Mayor Raymond Hull officiated at the double-ring ceremony held at the East Palestine City Building.
The bride is the daughter of Jim and Betty Falk of Leake Street, East Palestine. The bridegroom's parents are Lawrence and Fran Hall of 10917 Salem-Warren Road, Salem.
Escorted by her father, the bride was attired in a matte satin and chiffon gown enhanced with beads and embroidery. The gown's draped skirt was accented with a court train. Following the bridegroom's family tradition, she carried a colonial bouquet of white roses, calla lilies and baby's breath with satin streamers.
Cristeen Morgan of East Palestine, the bride's sister, was the matron of honor. She is in the U.S. Navy and was attired in her uniform.
Robert Murphy of Columbiana was the best man.
Immediate family members attended the reception in the historic John Street House, home of the bridegroom's aunt and uncle, Joe and Denise Serensky of Ellsworth Avenue, Salem.
The bride is employed at the Sparkle Market in Columbiana.
The bridegroom attended Youngstown State University and is an airman in the U.S. Air Force/Avionics. The couple was married while he was on Christmas leave. He returned to complete schooling at Sheppard Air Force Base in Texas. After completion they will make their home in Okinawa, Japan.
