Mr. and Mrs. Donald E. Leonard of 314 Kingwood Drive, Columbiana, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Nov. 11. A private family dinner was held prior to the couple's vacation to Florida.
The former Jacqueline G. Snyder and Mr. Leonard were married on Nov. 11, 1949, at Trinity E.U.B. Church in York, Pa.
Mr. Leonard retired in 1997 after 48 years of service as a senior salesman, director and part-owner of Yorktowne Caskets in York, Pa. He maintains his real estate brokerage, Donald E. Leonard Realty, as a sales consultant.
The Leonards have two daughters, Deborah K. Detwiler and Renee L. Miller ; three grandchildren, David D. Detwiler, Nicole Shuto and Lauren McAndrew; and five great-grandchildren, Hayli Davidson, Quenton Cross, Xathon Cross, Easton Shuto and Cora McAndrew.
The Leonards are active members of the First United Methodist Church in Columbiana, for 53 years. In January 1956, the Leonards moved to Columbiana from York, Pa. Mr. Leonard also served as city councilman for 6 1/2 years in Columbiana and is active in civic affairs.
