Margaret A. Bricker

SALEM-Margaret A. Bricker, 96, of 1648 North Lincoln Avenue, Salem, died at 9:25 p.m. on Wednesday, December 30, 2009, at the Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born July 26, 1913, in Butler Township, Ohio, the daughter of the late Willie E. and Carrie W. (Oesch) Burson.

Margaret was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in North Georgetown and a 77-year member of the Willow Grove Grange. She enjoyed cooking and crossword puzzles.

Her husband, Charles F. Bricker, whom she married August 31, 1940, preceded her in death August 12, 1998. Her brothers, Ralph, Paul, Raymond J., Elbert and Virgil Burson; stepmother, Myrtle Burson; and stepbrother, Robert Lora also preceded her in death.

Survivors include two sons, Raymond (Becky) Bricker and Joseph Bricker, both of Salem; four daughters, Barbara (Dale) McKarns of Hanoverton, Sally (Roger) Bentley of Salem, Marsha (Randy) Ricker of Annapolis, Maryland and Carol Brown of Salem; a stepsister, Mary Jane Lora Mitler; 11 grandsons; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor, the Rev. Carolyn Wagar-Hier officiating.

Calling hours will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the North Georgetown Cemetery.
