East Palestine - Pearl V. Moore, 91, of East Palestine and formerly of Darlington, PA, died at 6:10 a.m. Saturday at the Covington Skilled Nursing Center.

Mrs. Moore was born July 6, 1918 in Darlington, PA, a daughter of Delbert and Mary Craft Veon and had lived in Darlington until moving to East Palestine in 1999.

She had been employed as tax collector in South Beaver Township, Beaver County, PA for 16 years and also was financial secretary and treasurer of the Highland School District in Beaver Falls, PA. She had also served as administrative assistant at the Elmcrest Extended Care Facility, Beaver Falls, PA.

Her husband, Ralph K. Moore, whom she married Sept. 30, 1939 died Sept. 28, 2000.

She is survived by three daughters, Janet L. Boyce of Newman, GA, Joyce A. (Robert) Hixson of Columbia, PA, and Patricia M. (Richard) Hamilton of East Palestine; a son, Keith D. Moore of Freedom, PA; 16 grandchildren and numerous great and great- great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine, with Pastor David Sutton officiating. Burial will follow in Seceder Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Monday.
