PERRY TOWNSHIP REPORTS

Fictitious registration

Tammy L. Trainer, of 876 Lake Park Blvd., Sebring, was cited at 9:08 p.m. Thursday for fictitious registration following a traffic stop on U.S. Route 62 for an equipment violation.

Fight

An officer responded to a residence in the 1000 block of Prospect Street at 9:51 p.m. Thursday to investigate a report of a fight. Upon arrival, the officer found a single individual who stated no one had been at the apartment all night and that there had been no fight. The report is one of several fictitious calls to the apartment.

SALEM REPORTS

Right of way

Elsie L. Stevenson, 63, of 47282 Tomahawk Drive, Negley, was cited at 3:44 p.m. Friday for a stop sign violation following a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of East State Street and Continental Drive in which she was traveling south on Continental and failed to stop at the sign, striking a vehicle driven by James E. Myers, 48, of 32076 Parkview Drive, Hanoverton, who was westbound in the left turn lane on East State.

Noise complaint

An officer responded to a residence in the 300 block of Newgarden Avenue at 7:23 p.m. Friday for a loud music complaint. Upon arrival the officer could hear thumping coming from the apartment. The tenant stated that he did not realize the music could be heard and promised to resolve the issue.

Barking dog

An officer responded to a residence in the 100 block of West 12th Street at 11:22 p.m. Friday for a report of dogs barking throughout the day and night. The officer contacted the owner, who reported someone would be home shortly.

NEW WATERFORD REPORTS

Recovered dog

An officer responded to a residence in the 3000 block of Silliman Street at 6:53 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a large dog in the driveway. Upon arrival, the officer discovered the tame dog lying in the roadway with no identification tags. A resident who had reported two missing dogs the previous evening was contacted and confirmed the dog belonged to him. The other missing dog is black with a white chest and four white paws.

Public assist

An officer responded to a residence in the 3000 block of Creek Road at 4:01 p.m. Thursday where a woman requested help in calming her adult daughter who had become upset. The woman stated that her daughter, who lives with her grandmother and suffers from bipolar disorder, had become upset when her boyfriend left that evening. The officer spoke with the daughter and warned her that any threat or attempt at suicide would result in her being admitted to a hospital for evaluation.

COLUMBIANA REPORTS

Domestic

An officer responded to a Quincy Avenue residence at 7:08 a.m. Monday where a woman reported that her ex-husband was refusing to leave. The ex-husband was gone upon the officer's arrival.

Suspicious activity

An employee at McDonald's reported at 5:33 p.m. Tuesday that a patron in the drive-through stated a man in the following vehicle had been punching an accompanying woman in the head.

Vandalism

A woman reported at 9:44 a.m. Wednesday that she found all four tires on her car flattened after the vehicle had been parked overnight at Taco Bell.

Reckless driver

A caller reported at 7:21 p.m. Thursday that a vehicle was driving through a yard outside city limits toward state Route 164, 15 minutes after a Fairfield Avenue resident reported someone driving through her yard. Officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Assault

A caller from Columbiana High School reported at 10:44 a.m. Friday that a ninth-grade student had assaulted another student in gym class.
