Donald Gene “Sour” Lemmon
WINDHAM-Donald Gene "Sour" Lemmon, 74, of 7252 Smalley Road, Windham, Ohio, died at 5:26 a.m. on Saturday at his home.
He was born, July 13, 1935, in Flemington, W. Va., the son of the late Roscoe and Hazel (Murphy) Lemmon.
Don had lived in Salem for most of his life and for the past five years he lived in Windham. Before retiring in 1984, he had been employed as an enameler at the former Eljer Co. for 30 years.
He was a 1953 graduate of Salem High School and was a member of the Salem AMVETS, the Salem Slovak Club, the Ravenna Moose Club and the Salem Italian Club.
He is survived by his companion, Bonnie Waddlington of Windham; three daughters, Lynn (David) Raymond of Salem, Penny (Kenneth) Creer of Hanoverton and Donnae Lemmon of Townsend, Virginia; a brother, James (Mary Rose) Lemmon of Winona; and four grandchildren.
Two brothers, Billy and Thomas Lemmon, preceded him in death.
Private services will be held at Hope Cemetery.
