EAST PALESTINE-East Palestine City School District Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. Monday in the EPES media center.
First Night Salem
SALEM-The First Night Salem Committee will meet at 7 p.m. Dec. 9 at the David Schwartz home, 1888 E. 11th St.
Genealogy Society
SALEM-The Columbiana County Genealogy Society will meet at 7 p.m. Dec. 9 in the Salem Historical Society meeting room. Penny Lippiatt will present a humorous presentation of "Roxine's Crappy Christmas." Those attending are asked to bring finger foods or treats to share. Beverages and table service will be furnished. Visitors are welcome.
Library party
COLUMBIANA- The Columbiana Public Library will host a holiday party for children ages 2 to 6 at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. The evening will include stories, songs and a visit from Santa. Children are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite pajamas and bring their Christmas wishes to share with Santa. The program is free to the public and no registration is required. Leetonia water line
LEETONIA- JCM Contracting will begin installation of a new 12-inch water line on the north side of Columbia Street between Lisbon and Wilson/Mill streets on Wednesday, weather permitting. The line will be installed under the sidewalk, which will be replaced following installation. Any trees in the curb lawn will be removed and will not be replaced as part of the construction project. Residents are being asked not to park in this area during construction.
