Community dinner offered

NORTH GEORGETOWN-First Brethren Church at 27333 Main St. will host its monthly community dinner from noon to 6 p.m. today. The dinner is offered in conjunction with "Small Town Christmas," the second annual tour of crafters and their shops in the North Georgetown/Homeworth area. The menu for the homecooked dinner is roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetable, rolls, dessert, and beverage. The dinner is free and open to the public and is offered as a gift to the community by the church.

New Veggie Tales film

NORTH LIMA-A premier showing of the new Veggie Tales film, "Saint Nicholas" begins at 6 p.m. Dec. 6 at the North Lima Mennonite Church. The church is located at 90 Mennonite Drive. For information call 330-549-2333.

Cookie walk in Winona

WINONA-The Hazel Circle of the Winona United Methodist Church is hosting its annual Cookie Walk and Craft Sale from 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 5 at the church, 32114 Winona Road. A variety of homemade cookies will be sold at $3 per dozen.

Cookie walk in Leetonia

LEETONIA-A cookie walk will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 5 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 29 Spruce St. A variety of holiday cookies, pumpkin rolls, specialty breads and kolachi will be sold in the church fellowship hall, made by the men and women of the church. Proceeds will benefit the church's carpet fund.

Grief workshop

SALEM-Catholic Charities Regional Agency will hold a holiday grief workshop at 2 p.m. Dec. 9 at St. Paul Church, 935 E. State St. The one hour sessions, conducted by Catholic Charities Regional Agency's Family Support Workers, are open to the public and free of charge. The workshops will provide comfort, support, understanding and coping skills to help individuals adjust to the holiday season after the loss of a loved one. Family Support Workers are licensed counselors and are available for individual and family counseling sessions. For information or to register call 330-744-3320.

Catholic Charities Regional Agency is dedicated to helping meet basic human needs, strengthening families, building communities and empowering low-income people who reside in Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull counties.

Rev. Colegrave called

SALEM-The Rev. Jerome "Kip" Colegrove has been called as priest-in-charge of the Episcopal Church of Our Savior in Salem and Trinity Episcopal Church in Alliance. Colegrove has been ordained for 13 years and most recently served as interim pastor at St. James Episcopal Church in Painesville. Colegrove's wife, the Rev. Julie Fisher, is the rector of Christ Episcopal Church in Kent. Colegrove received his master's of divinity degree from Seabury-Western Theological Seminary. His new role starts Nov. 29.

Millers welcomed

SALEM-The congregation of the Salem Bible Methodist Church at 1647 N. Ellsworth Ave., will welcome their new minister, the Rev. and Mrs. Henry Miller of Brewster, on Sunday, Nov. 29.

Rev. and Mrs. Miller are graduates of God's Bible School in Cincinnati. They have served the last 39 years as pastors, evangelists, teachers and Christian Day School administrators. Their love to God and people shine through their consistent compassionate ministry. Their music and gift of loving and serving people of all ages has been a tremendous blessing wherever they have served.

The congregation extends a welcome to the community to worship with them at 11 a m.
