Due to the present system of locks and dams on the river, these drawings will probably never be seen again. Some individuals have in the past have made casts if the designs which have been preserved. Actually the designs are quite clear and show a good form of communication. This program will be continued at a later date.
During the business meeting, Regent Margaret Duffy welcomed the group and then led them in the ritual. Marcia Kotowski of Salem was introduced as a transfer member from the Jane Bain Chapter of DAR in Alliance. A brief report was given on a grave marking ceremony in which five members of the original Rebecca Griscom Chapter took part. The family marking the grave came from Texas for the event. Reports were heard from the president general, the state regent, the treasurer, the chairman of Civil Defense and the registrar.
