Rev. Charles S. Ludington
WASHINGTONVILLE-The Rev. Charles S. Ludington, 88, died at Salem Community Hospital at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 19, following a short illness.
He was born in East Liverpool, Ohio, on May 20, 1921, to Bernard and Frona (Williamson) Ludington.
Charles was an ordained minister of the Evangelical Congregational Church and served in Pennsylvania and Ohio churches. He retired in 1986 to enjoy his hobbies of golfing, gardening, and woodworking. He was a veteran of World War II, serving as a air transportation tech.
He will be missed by wife, Ruth (Watson) Ludington; daughters, Rebecca (Terry) Nusser, Lucinda (Tom) McGough and Robin Ludington; grandchildren, Michael Nusser, Melissa Lingard, Carrie Nusser, Eric McGough, Scott McGough and Dan Rudibaugh; five great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind a sister, Alta Bender of Lompoc, Calif.; and nieces and a nephew.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon on Monday, Nov. 23, 2009, at the East Goshen Church to pay their respects.
The funeral will follow directly at noon with Tom McGough and Pastor Gerald Baker officiating. The remains will be interred at East Goshen Cemetery.
