Reckless operation

Police responded to East State Street at 11:46 am. Wednesday regarding a report of a reckless driver traveling on state Route 14 from Washingtonville. Due to the location of the responding officer at the time of the call the vehicle not located.

Graffiti

Police responded to the 400 block of E. State St. at 11:28 a.m. Wednesday where the complainant advised that overnight the word "Fink" was painted in spray painted on the east and north sides of the building. The persons also gained access to the roof and painted "Fink" on an outside wall of the second story.

Harassment

Police a complainant advised police in a parking lot in the 800 block of W. Pershing St. at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday that a known person accused him of stealing his mail and punched the complainant in the face. The complainant did not want to press charges and understood the other person had mental issues. That person was presenting a substantial risk of harm to others and himself and was having difficulty controlling his emotions. He was asked to go to the hospital and did so voluntarily with EMT. Several people witnessed him accusing people present of stealing his mail.

Prowler

Police responded to the 300 block of Ohio Ave. at 9:01 p.m. Tuesday where the complainant advised unknown people were harassing him and his new girlfriend over his upcoming divorce. The complainant was advised of the options.

Assault

A complainant came on station at 8:49 p.m. Tuesday advising he was assaulted in an incident that occurred in the 400 block of S. Broadway Ave. He said he was advised by officers to come to the station at a later time due to all the chaos occurring on the scene. The initial information was gathered and the complainant was offered the opportunity to submit a written statement and he said he would after speaking with the officer handling the complaint. He was advised when to make contact with the investigating officer.

Unruly juvenile

Police responded to the 400 block of E. 5th St. at 5:28 p.m. Tuesday where the complainant advised his juvenile daughter left without permission and believed she was at a downtown business. Police located her and transported her home and the complainant was advised of the options.
