Flu shots set this week in Salem
SALEM - H1N1 flu shots for all Salem residents kindergarten through sixth-grade will be given on today from 4 until 8 p.m. in the Salem High School cafeteria.
Parking is available at the rear of the school and entry can be made through the SHS auditorium doors.
Parents can register online for the vaccination and print, sign and bring the copy with them to the vaccination.
Children should wear accessible clothing for the shot and they should not attend if currently ill.
Parents of pre-school students who are four-years-old and younger will be notified by the Salem City Health Department via a press release regarding available times and places for those vaccinations, or you can contact their offices directly.
Junior high school and high school students will receive their shots on Friday, Nov. 20. between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. at the high school.
Students should pre-register online for their shots prior to Friday morning.
Pre-registration materials should be completed online, printed out, signed, and brought with you to the vaccination, in the case of elementary vaccinations, or turned in to the main office in the case of junior high and high school vaccinations. If you haven't already done so, you may pre-register at: h1n1vaccine.odh.ohio.gov.
