Karen A. Craig
COLUMBIANA - Karen A. Craig, 59, of 903 S. Main Street, Columbiana, died at 10:40 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, at the St. Elizabeth Boardman Campus following a long illness. Mrs. Craig was born on Jan. 27, 1950 in North Lima, the daughter of Cecil E. and Genevieve (Winsper) Craig.
Mrs. Craig had worked in food service for various local restaurants and had retired from Fairfield Inn in 2002 due to her health. She attended the North Lima Mennonite Church.
She is survived by her mother, Genevieve C. Haddle; two sons, Gary (Brook) Evans of Leetonia and Gerald (Sheila) Evans of Virginia; one sister, Helen (Ronald) Walker of Austintown; two brothers, Robert (Kim) Craig of Martins Ferry and Richard Craig Sr. of New Middletown; and six grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the North Lima Mennonite Church with the Rev. Robert Wengerd officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. on Monday, November 16, 2009 at the North Lima Mennonite Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that monetary contributions be sent to the North Lima Mennonite Church to help defer the cost of Mrs. Craig's recent medical expenses and memorial service. Please make checks payable to the North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Dr, North Lima, OH 44452.
