Local artist to release CD in Salem as part of Thanksgiving Celebration Food Drive

SALEM - Christian-based recording artist Ashlie Marie of Akron, will be performing songs from her first two albums during the Thanksgiving Celebration Food Drive on Friday, Nov. 20 at Salem High School.
The free event is being co-sponsored by Crossroads Ministries and the Salvation Army. It will start at 7 p.m. The public is encourage to attend and support the local cause by donating a canned good or non-perishable item to the Salvation Army. A free will offering will be taken the night of the event.
That day will mark the release of Ashlie Marie's albums, "The Art of Letting Go," and "Emmanuel" officially as CDs. She has performed throughout Ohio during the past year, including singing the national anthem at a Cleveland Indians game last spring.
She recorded her albums at Dragonfly Studios in Boardman under the direction of Todd Maki.
Every song on the debut album, "The Art of Letting Go," is an original song designed and written especially for her ministry. "Emmanuel" is her Christmas album being released in time for the holidays.
There is no cost for the Nov. 20 show in Salem. Ashlie Marie is donating her concert performance to help raise food and money for the Salvation Army of Salem. All proceeds will benefit the Salvation Army.
The CDs will be available the night of the concert and can be found in local Christian bookstores.
