‘Light-Up Night’ will be held Nov. 20 at Salem Chamber
The Salem Retail & Business Association, a division of the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce has announced "Light-Up Night" to be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20 on the front yard of the chamber.
The chamber's Christmas tree will be lit and the downtown snowflake lights will also be turned on for the season. Christmas carols will be sung and hot chocolate will be provided by the First Assembly of God Church.
From 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21 the Christmas Open House will be held in the downtown business district with participating stores offering specials and sales for the day. Horse drawn carriage rides will be provided from noon until 4 p.m. and will be free of charge. Four warming stations will provide discount coupons and hot cocoa and cookies for shoppers during the day. Those locations include the Fun Factory, the Salem Historical Society Gift Shop, Corner Creations, and Kolby's/Tennille's. For more information contact the Chamber office at 330-337-3473.
The annual "Welcome Santa to Salem" parade, co-sponsored by the Salem Retail & Business Association and the Salem News, will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 5 in downtown Salem.
